Lugano is located in the canton of Ticino in southern Switzerland. This section of Switzerland speaks Italian, unlike the rest of the country. Due to its gorgeous medieval architecture and, of course, the lake Lugano, Lugano is one of Switzerland’s most popular tourist attractions. The lake offers a variety of activities, including boat trips, restaurants, and places to swim in the summer. Cannabis laws in Switzerland
Although cannabis remains illegal in Switzerland, the country is gradually heading toward legalization, with legislation growing more lenient. As recently as 2011, cannabis products that contain less than 1% THC have now become legal. These are popularly called ‘light cannabis’ or legal cannabis. Cigarettes, joints, and other products with light cannabis are entirely legal now. Cannabis used recreationally is acceptable as long as you carry a small amount for private use only.
In Switzerland, there have been numerous attempts at legalization, and it is very likely that recreational cannabis will be legalized in the near future.
Finding weed in Lugano
Take a walk around the Parco Civico, which is next to the lake, or near the Università della Svizzera Italiana. You will find weed dealers there. You’ll need to also ask around maybe in nightclubs, valets or bartenders. If you happen to witness someone smoking, approach them and inquire. You could also talk to club promoters, who may have an idea or know a dealer. The cannabis is often of good quality, however this varies greatly from dealer to dealer. Keep an eye on he cops. You don’t wanna get any issues.
